Caring for your Silver Jewellery

To maintain the original condition and clean your silver jewellery, you should:

  • Polish your pieces regularly using a non-abrasive cleaning cloth.
  • Do not dry silver off with paper towels or tissues, always use a soft cloth.
  • Remove your jewellery before showering, swimming, cooking, cleaning, sleeping, or participating in sporting activities.
  • Store your jewellery in a cool, dry place away from sunlight, humidity, and damp.
  • Be careful of any contact with chemicals and solvents, as well as everyday lotions, hair bleach, and perfumes.
  • Be carful with jewellery that has gemstones set. Try not to knock it and remove it if doing any heavy duty work.

To clean your silver jewellery, you can apply a small amount of Silver Jewellery cleaner to a soft cloth, gently rub the silver with the cloth several times, rinse the silver thoroughly in warm water, blot dry, and shine your silver with a polishing cloth or mitts.

Alternatively, to clean your silver jewellery at home I recommend using a toothbrush and warm soapy water. Dry it with a soft cloth.
